These evenings provide members the opportunity to meet fellow alumni over drinks, converse with artists about their work, and navigate the city's arts scene. Previous special guests include Academy Award winners Michael Douglas and Milos Forman, Grammy Award winners Paquito D'Rivera and Wynton Marsalis, Tony Award-winning actor Brian Dennehy (CC '60), Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lawrence Wright, and the cast of Cirque du Soleil's Wintuk! Carnegie Hall presented Bernstein: The Best of All Possible Worlds to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth and the 50th anniversary of his appointment as music director of the New York Philharmonic. On November 16th, members heard two of Bernstein’s celebrated works played by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, and enjoyed a brunch with fellow CAAL Members before the performance at Sarabeth’s.

One of today’s uniquely gifted conductors, Gustavo Dudamel continues to thrill international audiences and bring the highest level of musicianship to orchestras worldwide.
